Over twelve months, this calendar tells the story of a relationship breaking down. Each month contains a six-word story, a form of flash fiction writing usually attributed to Ernest Hemingway.
I made the perhaps risky decision to make the actual calendar elements very small and understated. This is to communicate the narrator losing their sense of what is "important."
I used the visual motif of stars and constellations to indicate the failure of communication in the relationship. Although stars may look close together in the sky, any two stars in space are unfathomably far apart.
